SharePoint 2010 OOTB Note Board Web Part in Library item display form

Well this is a very nice and simple OOTB customization I just learned to use; it allows users to add comments in a document library using the out of the box Social Note Board Web Part,
What is surprisingly great about it is that the comments are specifically related to the document you comment on.
So just follow these simple steps to add the Note board capability to your document library:
1.    Go to your document library and choose to edit your display item form:

2.    From the social collaboration category add the Note Board web part preferably beneath your view item Web Part:
3.    Save your changes.
4.    Choose to view one of your documents properties:
    5.    Add a comment in the Note Board WP, and see the magic…

Managed Path with WildCard and Explicit Inclusion

I thought to put an article on Managed Paths in SharePoint covering their use with Explicit Inclusion and Wildcard Inclusion and also how to use them in Real World scenarios So let’s see what Managed Path is Managed Path: By default when we create Site Collections inside a Web Application in SharePoint they are created with the URL “http://servername:portnumber/site”.  But if we want to have a specific URL other than “/site” we need to create Managed Path. So as an example if we want to create Site Collections for IT and HR Dept and want to have URL's like “http://servername:portnumber/IT” and “http://servername:portnumber/HR” we can do with the help of Managed Paths.
