List View Web Part

When you create a new site from a site template, Web Parts are automatically added to the site
When you create a list or library on your site, a List View Web Part of the same name as the list or library is automatically created. Let's see on a step by step procedure to create it.

Site Actions --> More options

Select the Option Custom List --> Enter the Name of the List

 Click Add New Item

Enter the Title of the List Item ---> Click Save


Go to your Home Page -- > Site Actions --> Edit Page


















Click Add a Web Part





Under Lists and Libraries --> Name of the List is Displayed. --> Select and press ADD
Now You can see you List View Web Part is displayed on your page

Now Click On Edit Page --> Click Edit Web Part


Now We can see the Interesting part of the Web Part Properties.
Here You can See the point listed below

1. Selected View ---> Edit the Current View
    This is a place where you can say what are all the columns you want to display on your view to the page
    It contains the Filtering, Sorting, Item Limit, Inline Editing etc.,

2. Tool Bar Type --> You want to show the toolbar on the web part and the option for it.
     Full ToolBar
     Summary ToolBar
     No ToolBar
     Show Tool Bar

3. Appearance --> where you can define the appearance and styles for your web part
    Title
    Height
    Width
    Chrome State
    Chrome Type

4. Layout
5. Advanced
6. Ajax Options  ---> Here You can play with the paging functionality if you have. Whether you if click next 
    page the whole page gets refreshed. those values are handled here
7. Miscellanous
